Dr Maitrik Mehta is an Associate Professor in Dept of Radiation Oncology, The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He his MD in Radiation Oncology in 2006 and did Registrarship for 1 year at the same Institute.
Then he joined as a faculty July 2007 at GCRI and now is an Associate Professor.
He has worked in Gynecology and Brain tumors division for 3 years as faculty, 6 years in Head and Neck division and now he is working with the tumors other than Head and neck, Gynecology and Brain tumors. He looks after Breast, Lung, Oesophagus, Paediatric tumors, Sarcomas, Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary tumors.
He has attended almost 18 Local-state chapter and National conferences and 6 International conferences at Barcelona, Prague (IGCS – International Gynecologic Cancer Society), Washington (SNO – Society for Neuro Oncology), San Antonio, USA (ASTRO – American Society for Radiation Oncology).
He has presented Papers in National conferences and 3 poster presentations In International conferences and 1 oral conference at International conference at IGCS, Prague.
He has also attended course on IMAGE GUIDED RADIATION THERAPY IN CLINICAL PRACTICE at London, 2013.
He is an awardee of ESTRO (EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR RADIATION ONCOLOGY) Grant and attended Cancer Hospital – IPO-PORTO at Porto, Portugal from 20th July – 10th August for the project of 18FDG PET-CT GUIDED IMRT TREATMENT PLANNING. And his article about the project has been published in ESTRO NEWSLTTER OF JAN-FEB 2016 ISSUE.
He also won best paper award at GUJARAT-MP Local chapter conference at Betul, Madhya Pradesh.
Dr Maitrik Mehta is also Felicitated by The Gujarat Cancer Society and The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute for his remarkable achievements in 2008, 2009, 2013, 2016.
He has also National and International publications as First and Second author under his name.
