Mike is a Healthcare IT and Medical Device executive. He has been PI, Technical Lead, or Principal Consultant on $10,000,000 in research grants, consulting engagements, and product development. His focus is Software Development, Market Research, Safety, Systems Analysis, and Regulatory issues.
He began his career as an Engineering Manager for Hughes Aircraft and General Motors. Later at Kaiser Permanente he was the Principal Enterprise Architect for all of Care Delivery, responsible for the architecture and portfolio strategy for major clinical and medical systems and their integration with KP’s world-class HealthConnect EHR. Mike was a founding board member of the Personal Connected Health Alliance. He frequently speaks on, and collaborates with, public and non-profit organizations and commercial companies on the rapidly evolving environment of medical device and HIT safety, security, interoperability, and regulation.
Mike lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife two children.
